AT&T (NYSE:T) today announced the extension of a Web site hosting contract with Forbes.com, one of the world’s premier sources of business news and analysis. The contract is an extension of the enterprise hosting services that AT&T has been providing to Forbes.com during the past two years.

AT&T’s Enterprise Hosting Solution provides Forbes.com with a stable, secure network infrastructure and helps to ensure continuous availability and optimal routing. The solution also delivers data and information to site visitors around the world. Under the new contract, Forbes.com will continue to store networking equipment and critical data at an AT&T secure Internet Data Center (IDCs), which is continuously monitored. AT&T’s IDC allows the Forbes.com site to run seamlessly and securely at all times, with the ability to withstand power failures and other potential disruptions.

In addition to the hosting services, Forbes.com will use AT&T’s Intelligent Content Distribution Service (ICDS) to augment the site’s performance and equip it to handle traffic surges prompted by breaking news and special publishing events, such as the Forbes lists.

“We are thrilled to expand our business with AT&T,” said Mike Smith, vice president and general manager of Operations at Forbes.com. “AT&T’s online infrastructure has provided Forbes.com visitors around the world with a fast, reliable experience on our site, even in periods of high traffic. We recognize the value that AT&T’s hosting capabilities bring to our online business.”
