SUNNYVALE, Calif.-AMD (NYSE: AMD), was named Best-in-Class Supplier for Standard Silicon in Sun Microsystems’ 2007 Supplier Awards program. The Supplier Awards recognize companies that make outstanding contributions to Sun’s record of delivering superior technology, quality service and excellent value to customers.

The Best-in-Class Award evaluates the performance of all suppliers that delivered a similar product or service and recognizes the highest performer in that area. This award also considers suppliers that demonstrated significant improvement over the course of Sun’s fiscal year.
