Rochester, New York .- Businesses, government agencies, and banks seeking to streamline cash flow and avoid check fraud can now find KODAK Check Scanners available through thousands of resellers supported by leading IT products distributor Tech Data Corporation in an exclusive distribution arrangement announced today by Kodak and Tech Data.

“Tech Data is dedicated to providing our resellers with access to innovative imaging solutions that solve critical needs for businesses and organizations in the public and private sectors,” said Wendy Linsky, Tech Data’s Vice President, Peripherals Product Marketing. “The KODAK Check Scanners enable resellers to deliver efficient and secure transaction processing solutions that help address fraud and cash flow concerns for their end user customers. Tech Data and Kodak will collaborate to market these solutions to resellers supporting key vertical markets such as financing, retail and public utilities.”

Tech Data supports resellers of KODAK products through its Document Imaging Specialized Business Unit (SBU). Certified by Kodak, the unit provides dedicated sales and technical expertise on a wide range of KODAK imaging solutions.

KODAK i6000 Series Check Scanners, designed for financial institutions, government agencies, and commercial and retail enterprises, deliver fast, efficient, high quality check capture in a compact scanner with MICR reading capabilities. With Kodak’s choice of scanners ranging from single feed models for low volume locations to a 100dpm model to meet customers’ specific volume and application needs, resellers will be able to select from three check scanners that deliver cost saving, revenue generating features.

“Our check scanners provide end users with an easy to use, ‘out of the box’ solution for meeting the demands of remote deposit and payment capture,” said Andy Lawrence, Worldwide Solutions Business Manager, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “Through this agreement with Tech Data, Kodak will reach more businesses and end users who want to reduce transportation costs and fraud, speed up recognition of non sufficient funds checks, and export images and data to existing in house systems.”

Kodak offers a full portfolio of Check 21 solutions, including check scanners, image capture and transmission software for both internet and in house applications, transactional software and archive capabilities. Rounding out the portfolio, Kodak offers professional services that support the smooth delivery of the product into a customer’s environment—including site inspections, installation of hardware and software, consulting services, software customization, and product training. Additionally, there are a variety of service agreement offerings, delivered by KODAK Service & Support, the benchmark service provider for the document imaging industry.
