QUALCOMM and APBW Announce Agreement to Launch BREW Services in Taiwan

SAN DIEGO — October 24, 2005 — QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Asia Pacific Broadband Wireless Communication (APBW), Taiwan’s first third-generation (3G) broadband wireless service provider, to commercially launch its wireless data service based on QUALCOMM’s BREW® solution. The deployment of BREW services over APBW’s CDMA2000® 1X wireless network will provide APBW subscribers access to the most cutting-edge and compelling applications available including ringtones, games, productivity applications and information services.
