Ahold USA Selects Oracle® Retail Suite to Deliver Customer Value and Support Profitable Growth
The U.S. operating unit of Royal Ahold, one of the world’s leading grocery retailers, has selected a broad suite of Oracle(r) Retail applications to help accelerate profitable growth and strengthen the company’s foundation for the future in the United States, Oracle announced today. This agreement will support the retailer’s value repositioning program and help provide a world-class shopping experience for customers across more than 700 supermarket locations in the United States including its Stop & Shop, Giant-Carlisle and Giant-Landover chains.
The strategic relationship with Oracle Retail marks an important step in Ahold’s strategy for profitable growth in the U.S. The Oracle Retail applications selected by Ahold USA will support Ahold’s strategic initiatives across a broad range of areas including merchandising, supply chain, store operations, planning and analysis.
