National City, California.-AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced that Motivational Systems Inc. (MSI) has signed a new five-year contract with AT&T. Under the terms of the agreement, AT&T will provide MSI with voice and data services, including Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-enabled Virtual Private Network (VPN) and OPT-E-MAN® Fiber Optic transport services for MSI’s headquarters in San Diego and remote sites throughout the Southwest. AT&T will also upgrade and integrate MSI’s existing network services.

MSI provides a wide array of services to builders and developers, including graphic and interior design; complete signing systems, including way-finding; multimedia animation and renderings, which can be used both on-site and via the Internet; sales; design and information centers; and custom interior displays and furnishings.

MSI has experienced tremendous growth in its telecommunications needs and required a solution that links its remote sites as well as faster, more reliable network services. The AT&T VPN will provide MSI with the flexibility and scalability to connect the company’s headquarters to its divisions in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Texas and Washington. The technology provides a better customer experience and helps MSI drive more sales of its high-tech “iTour” division, which specializes in virtual tours, interactive display programs and 3-D architectural renderings. The AT&T VPN also offers MSI’s employees more efficiency and greater bandwidth in sending large files, such as designs and bids.

AT&T is also moving all of MSI’s traditional copper-based transport services to pure Ethernet services. OPT-E-MAN service provides an economical way to expand MSI’s network services to meet increases in local bandwidth requirements, along with 24/7 monitoring to help reduce management responsibilities and service costs. The service allows MSI to increase bandwidth — up to 100MB — at its headquarters within a few days, but MSI won’t have to install new circuits. This reduces the overhead on the circuit and generates even more bandwidth for the customer.

“As MSI’s communications needs continue to grow and expand, we are pleased to renew and expand our partnership with AT&T to help meet our changing needs and create new opportunities,” said Olivier Cogé, MSI’s vice president of Information Technology. “Flexibility and reliability in our network services are extremely important, and the new systems will help us continue to provide the best possible service to our clients.”

In addition to the AT&T VPN solution and OPT-E-MAN Fiber Optic transport services, AT&T provides MSI with local, long distance and toll-free voice services. The agreement renews and expands a long-standing relationship between the two companies that spans more than eight years.
