FPL Group to present at the Merrill Lynch Power & Gas Leaders Conference on September 26

Lewis Hay, III, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FPL Group, Inc. (NYSE: FPL) will speak to investors and industry analysts at the Merrill Lynch Power & Gas Leaders Conference. Mr. Hay will present on a panel entitled “Utility Merchants” that is scheduled to begin at 7:30 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2007.

Additionally, Michael O’Sullivan, Senior Vice President – Development of FPL Energy, a subsidiary of FPL Group, will present on a panel entitled “Alternative Energy.” Mr. O’Sullivan’s panel is scheduled to begin at 12:30 pm that same day.
