Newton Senior High School Class of 1987 finds a way to stay connected

Newton Senior High School’s class of 1987 just had their 20 year class reunion this year and it was an amazing time for all.

In an effort to find a way to stay connected for free and be able to catch up with old friends and make new friends, they have come together to use Myspace as a place to stay connected.

“Those who have been avoiding myspace now have a great reason to get signed up.” stated Renae Heikkila who has been involved in the creation of the site.

Troy Hammer first came together with this fantastic idea and laid the ground work for the site to be created. Troy invested a lot of time and effort into the creation of the myspace page in hopes of keeping everyone together and sharing updated photos.

The site is filled with the senior pictures of each of the members of the graduating class as well as facts about 1987, music videos playing on a dizzler, movie favorites, political events, and some great nostalgia!

You will see many things that will make you laugh and smile on the site and remember the 80’s. Things like Fraggle Rock, Pac Man, The Cosby Show, Nike shoes, Guess jeans, The top 100 hit videos of 1987 and some nostalgia you may have forgotten about.

Many were very pleased with the creation of the site as they had lost track of many old friends and are excited about coming together again on myspace!

“This was a great idea, nice job!” stated Artie Jones, a graduate of Newton Senior High.

The Newton Cardinals of 1987 are determined to be prepared for their 25 year reunion by staying in touch with each other for the next 5 years through myspace!

The creators of the site are asking for current photos or photos from high school to be sent to so they can post new materials on the site.
