Market-Low Interest Rate Offered by Citibank Personal Loan in Thailand

Bangkok – Citibank Personal Loan continues to lead the market with the introduction of a market-low 16% (effective) interest rate. Targeting homeowners and professionals, the special loan rate promotion will run from today until November 13, 2007.

Mr. Sant Thaosuwan, Personal Loan Unit Head, Citibank, N.A. said, "Due to its low interest rate and fixed monthly repayment terms, the Citibank Personal Loan is a ‘top-of-mind’ loan product for many consumers in many markets.

“Because it provides easier personal financial management terms, we believe that it will be as successful in Thailand and attract many in our target market which includes homeowners and professionals with sound financial track records.”

Personal Loan for homeowners: Customers who own a home will be eligible to apply for the loan with the effective interest rate (as low as 16% p.a.) for a loan of 300,000 Baht or more. The 18% interest rate will be charged for a loan of between 50,000-299,999 Baht and a 22% effective rate for a loan of between 30,000-49,999 Baht.

Special offer for professionals: This loan is eligible for employees working for a top-5,000 company, state enterprise, bank, financial institution or hospital. The 16% p.a. applies for a loan of 300,000 Baht or more. The 18% interest rate will be charged for a loan of 50,000-299,999 Baht, and a 22% effective rate for a loan of 30,000-49,999.
