RBC to award $55,000 to emerging artists in 9th Annual Canadian Painting Competition
RBC, with the support of the Canadian Art Foundation, will announce the national winner and two honourable mentions of the 9th Annual RBC Canadian Painting Competition at a reception in Toronto on September 25, 2007. The competition features artwork from each of three regions - Eastern, Central and Western Canada. The national winner will be awarded $25,000 and the two honourable mentions will be awarded $15,000 each, making this Canada’s largest arts award disbursement for painting.
Artists, jurors and representatives from RBC and the Canadian Art Foundation will be on hand to introduce the winners and participate in one-on-one interviews.
