VIENNA – General Dynamics announced today that it has changed the name of its Europe-based vehicle, armaments and munitions business to General Dynamics European Land Systems, effective immediately. The company is a business unit of the U.S. corporation General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).

Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, the company employs more than 3,250 highly skilled technical employees. General Dynamics European Land Systems companies design, manufacture and deliver to global customers military vehicles, including wheeled (PIRANHA and PANDUR,) tracked (PIZARRO and ULAN) and tactical (DURO and EAGLE) systems; tactical and amphibious bridges (M3); armaments (Howitzer 155/52 SIAC); and munitions.

General Dynamics European Land Systems comprises four European companies: Steyr-Daimler-Puch Spezialfahrzeug GmbH (Steyr) in Austria; MOWAG GmbH in Switzerland; General Dynamics Santa Bárbara Sistemas S.A. in Spain; and General Dynamics Santa Bárbara Sistemas GmbH in Germany.
