IBC, Amsterdam - September 10, 2007: Chyron Corporation (OTC BB: CYRO) has today announced that France 2, the largest French public television network and part of the France Télévisions group, has added a further four HyperX HD/SD-switchable graphics systems with Chyron’s Lyric PRO advanced creation/playout application, to its existing portfolio of a HyperX and four Duet SD systems.

Early in 2007, France 2 announced a search to find a solution that could handle demanding, fast-paced graphics initially for the Presidential Elections and then for upcoming live programmes. The broadcaster required a powerful graphics system that could deliver complex graphics in a demanding environment. Following great success with its existing HyperX system, France 2 chose an additional four HyperXs loaded with Lyric PRO and wrote an application using Chyron’s LEIF API to enable greater control of the system.

LEIF adds integrated functionality to the Lyric application by creating plug-ins or new applications, leveraging Lyric’s industry-leading rendering engine. The SDK provides an advanced API capable of controlling and updating Lyric’s core functionality. France 2 is now using three HyperXs for production and news on a daily basis and will introduce the fourth system in November 2007.

“We were astounded by the power and graphics capability that the HyperX delivers. The system has the capacity to deal with multiple graphics simultaneously. Lyric PRO allows the user to build and lay out graphics at the same time, which is something that we had not seen previously. Chyron delivers the most advanced graphics solution, at the best price, and migration and training were simple due to our existing relationship,” commented Jean-Michel Clémenceau, Project Manager, France 2.

Michael Wellesley-Wesley, Chyron CEO added, “We are delighted to announce this continuing partnership with France 2 and the integration with the LEIF API. In the last few months, sales of HyperX, HyperX2 and Lyric PRO have been outstanding; the systems are now installed in some of the world’s leading television stations.”
