Bombardier selects Rockwell Collins as HGS supplier

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. - Rockwell Collins’ HGS-6605 Head-Up Guidance System (HGS®) will be a new option for Bombardier Challenger 605*.

The Rockwell Collins HGS-6600 series, featuring advanced active-matrix liquid crystal display technology, presents critical flight information in the pilot’s forward field of view. Aircraft flight path and attitude symbols appear overlaying the outside scene enhancing situational awareness, improving energy management and increasing touchdown precision. The Rockwell Collins industry-leading HGS provides the brightest image over the widest head up display field-of-view while significantly improving installed head clearance.

The all-digital display will allow the pilot to see an integrated display of flight information and an infrared image from the Bombardier Enhanced Vision System (BEVS) in almost all weather conditions.
