Nortel Government Solutions, Tandberg Federal Offer Collaboration

WASHINGTON – Nortel Government Solutions*, a U.S. company wholly owned by Nortel* [NYSE/TSX: NT], and TANDBERG* Federal have agreed to provide joint voice, video and data collaboration solutions designed to help U.S. Federal Government agencies be more efficient, responsive and cost-effective.


Available immediately, these solutions combine TANDBERG business-quality video with multimedia communications from Nortel* and systems integration expertise from Nortel Government Solutions to enable more frequent and more effective face-to-face communications regardless of location. This can help empower Federal agencies to make critical local and global decisions in real time and at significantly reduced cost.

Joint collaboration solutions from Nortel Government Solutions and TANDBERG Federal will include presence awareness, instant messaging and Web conferencing as well as video, and will interoperate with standards-based solutions from other vendors.
