Textron Appoints Industry Veteran to Drive Business Development in China

Global Multi-Industry Leader Names Kevin Wu Vice President of Government Relations and Business Development for Textron China

Providence, RI, and Shanghai, China .- Reflecting its ongoing commitment to growth in the region, Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) today announced that Kevin Wu has been named vice president of Government Relations and Business Development for Textron China.

“Textron presence continues to grow in China - particularly with strong aviation sales at Cessna and several new manufacturing facilities at Kautex - and we are pleased to bring Kevin on board to help drive the strategic advancement of our businesses in the region,” said Siisi Adu-Gyamfi, senior vice president, International and Marketing at Textron. “China is a very important component of our strategy to build global business and get even closer to our customers.”

Kevin will report directly to Ee Soon Kiong, president for Textron China.

Kevin will leverage his extensive experience to advance Textron’s relationships in the region, as well as drive the company’s strategy for growth in China. Kevin also will be responsible for strengthening Textron’s business relations with the company’s current and potential domestic partners in China.

Prior to joining Textron, Kevin worked with Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions (LMTSS) since 2002, including serving as Greater China Business Development director and China marketing manager from April 2002 to September 2003. He also was elected as the Lockheed Martin Corporate Member to both the IT, Transportation and Logistics and Aerospace forums and China Government Affairs Commission (CGAC) under the American Chamber of Commerce in China. Kevin served as the Lockheed Martin Representative to the Board of Directors for the Wright Brothers U.S.-China Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP), which was established in 2004 to provide a platform for the governments and the American Companies to work closely in order to support the fast growing market in China.

Kevin started his professional career as an air traffic controller for several international airports in Sweden, Denmark and China. He also has held various management positions in the China Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC). Kevin holds an associate’s degree in Transportation Engineering of the Civil Aviation University of China, an associate master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering of Nanjing University, and a master’s degree in Business Administration of the Royal Melbourne Institution of Technology in Australia.
