Verizon Wireless Plans To Hire Nearly 300 By Year-End

Company continues rapid customer service job growth in Albuquerque, New Mexico


ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Verizon Wireless is now hiring to fill nearly 300 new, full-time customer service positions in Albuquerque by the end of the year.

The Verizon Wireless Customer Service Center, located at 7000 Central Ave. SW, will host career fairs on August 22 and 27. Prior customer service experience is required and bi-lingual Spanish skills are desired.

Verizon Wireless has created approximately 1,100 new, full-time positions in its Albuquerque support center in the last 18 months.

With the nearly 300 new jobs, Verizon Wireless expects to employ approximately 1,700 people in New Mexico in a variety of positions including customer service, sales and network. The company has 13 owned- and operated- retail locations throughout the state in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, and Alamogordo.
