Pregame.com Announces Pro Bettor Final Four

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – OCTOBER 5, 2005: Pregame.com has announced the four finalists in the 2005 Pregame Pro Bettor Contest. The contest invited entrants to submit a sports pick and analysis for the chance to become the next featured pro bettor at Pregame.com, launching in October 2005. “The best sports bettors aren’t the guys you see on TV,” the contest proclaimed, continuing on, “Great sports bettors know a lot – plain and simple.” At the end of the contest, Pregame plans to have found the next pro bettor, a person with knowledge of sports and a talent for using that knowledge.

Hundreds of aspiring sports betting celebrities submitted entries, with the final four being hand-selected by Pregame’s content and editorial staff. The four finalists will post picks and analysis at www.pregame.com/contest through the entire month of October. The ultimate winner will then get a featured spot to promote his or her picks and analysis on the Pregame.com site for the remainder of the football season.

Matty O’Shea, General Manager of Content, is thrilled with the final four contestants. Said O’Shea, “I was always eager to find out what kind of talent we could uncover out there. We honestly had a hard time narrowing it down to four, and right now, I couldn’t even pick a favorite to win because I think they all have great potential.”

Pregame President RJ Bell, who has been betting sports professionally and handicapping games for over a decade, was also impressed. “There are a lot of guys out there who have enough knowledge about sports, particularly in specific areas of the country, that they could rival professional bettors. I’m looking forward to bringing at least one of these guys to the forefront. Pregame.com will announce the final winner of the Pregame Pro Bettor Contest on its website on November 1, 2005.
