AT&T Will Serve as Primary Network and Data Services Provider for Oklahoma-Based Financial Institution

Bartlesville, Oklahoma.-AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced a new contract to provide network services to 66 Federal Credit Union, a cooperative financial institution with headquarters in Bartlesville. With additional locations in Arkansas, Kansas and Texas, 66 Federal Credit Union effectively serves more than 48,000 members nationwide.

Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will serve as the primary network and data services provider to 66 Federal Credit Union and will integrate AT&T’s Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based Virtual Private Network (VPN) for an enhanced communications network between offices.

AT&T’s VPN is a fully managed network solution that will give the financial institution the necessary network infrastructure and enhanced bandwidth to meet the company’s growing demand for voice and data applications, network redundancy and business continuity. The unified network platform will further provide 66 Federal Credit Union with a reliable network that will not only enable connectivity but can be accessed simultaneously by all locations.

“The unified network provided by AT&T will provide us with a cost-effective, flexible and efficient platform, which will improve communications between all of our nationwide locations,” said Marty O’Connell, chief information officer, 66 Federal Credit Union. “This will ultimately provide us with the long-term scalability to expand the business.”

This solution is backed by AT&T’s IP backbone and associated levels of efficiency and redundancy.
