Scott O’Brien to Lead BAE Systems’ New Products Group

JACKSONVILLE, Florida — Scott O’Brien has been named president of BAE Systems’ Products Group business, based in Jacksonville, Florida.

The division, with more than 1,700 employees at 11 facilities worldwide, manufactures many of the world’s most recognized brands of security products exclusively for law enforcement, corrections, military, and licensed security professionals. Revenue for the division in 2006 was $324 million.

O’Brien previously served as president of Products Group within Armor Holdings, Inc., which was recently acquired by BAE Systems. Prior to that, he served as president and chief operating officer of Safariland Ltd., Inc., a leading manufacturer of law enforcement equipment and automotive accessories within Products Group. His career with Safariland began in 1974.

O’Brien earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from California State University, Fullerton. He resides in Chino Hills, California, where he is a member of the Young President’s Organization; Chairman Emeritus of the Toyota Motor Sales Supplier Alliance; a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the School of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton; and a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California.
