Agreement Expands Premium Cards’ Airport Club Access Benefit with the Addition of More Than 40 Worldwide Admirals Club® Locations

NEW YORK.- American Express and American Airlines today announced that consumer, small business and corporate Platinum Card and Centurion members will now have access to American Airlines 44 Admirals Club lounges worldwide. The relationship expands the American Express Airport Club Access Program for Platinum and Centurion Cards, which now provides Card members with complimentary access to more than 125 participating partner clubs when traveling on the partner airline.

In addition to access to the American Airlines Admirals Club, The Airport Club Access Program allows Card members access to Continental Airlines Presidents Club®, Delta Crown Room Club®, and Northwest Airlines WorldClubs®. To take advantage of the Card benefit, Card members simply present the club representative with their Platinum or Centurion Card, a ticket valid for same-day travel on the corresponding airline that is operating the flight, and a government-issued ID. Spouse and children, or up to two traveling companions, can join the Card member as guests in the airport lounges.

“Our Card members are passionate about travel and enjoy receiving access and benefits through their American Express® Cards that enhance their experiences, such as our popular Airport Club Access Program,” said Simon Kahn, vice president, Platinum and Centurion Product Management. “American Airlines is a wonderful addition to the program, adding yet another valuable reason to carry the Platinum or Centurion Cards.”

“American Airlines continues to strengthen our premium product and global network, including opening eight new Admirals Club lounges in the past two years,” said Nancy Knipp, president – Admirals Club for American Airlines. “We believe American Express Platinum and Centurion Card members will enjoy the amenities we have to offer and we look forward to welcoming them both on the ground and in the air.”
