AT&T Will Serve as Primary Network and Data Services Provider

New York, New York.-AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced a new contract to provide advanced network services to Perkins Eastman, a leading international architecture, urban design and interior design firm with headquarters in New York City.

Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T now serves as Perkins Eastman’s primary network and data services provider and will use Internet Protocol (IP) Virtual Private Network (VPN) services to connect Perkins Eastman’s 10 locations across the globe.

The fully managed VPN service provided by AT&T meets Perkins Eastman’s demand for expanded bandwidth and fast, reliable data transfers between clients and the company’s offices. The network’s expanded bandwidth will support the transfer of the many large files that employees send, as well as facilitate redundancy of all data transfers.

“As our business continued to steadily grow, we needed a network platform that would allow remote users to access the company database,” said Bradford Perkins, chairman and chief executive officer of Perkins Eastman. “The network solution provided by AT&T further enables us to focus on our business and not worry about the transfer of sensitive client data over our communications platform.”

The VPN solution uses AT&T’s Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network and provides a reliable, fully private and unified network while it delivers robust capabilities that allow Perkins Eastman to prioritize the transfer of its most critical data. AT&T’s MPLS network also provides high levels of reliability and redundancy for disaster-recovery planning and can be leveraged to support future growth of Perkins Eastman’s clientele.
