CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Duke Energy reports customer demand for electricity will remain at or near record levels even though temperatures are forecast to drop slightly in the coming days.
Duke Energy continues to ask customers to conserve electricity.
To help save power you may:
* Raise the setting on air conditioners
* Use fans to circulate air
* Avoid using appliances such as stoves, ovens, dishwashers, clothes washers and dryers until the evening hours
* Close curtains, drapes or blinds during the day
* Use lights sparingly
