Avnet Technology Solutions’ Anna McDermott Named to VARBusiness Power 50

Channel Veteran Honored for 21 Years of Industry Leadership

TEMPE, Ariz.-- Avnet Technology Solutions, a value-added distributor of enterprise computing products, software and services, and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that Anna McDermott, senior vice president and general manager, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, was honored in VARBusiness’ second annual ’Power 50 Women of the Channel.’ This represents the second consecutive year VARBusiness recognized McDermott as one of the leading female executives in information technology (IT) channel.

The 2007 ’Power 50 Women of the Channel,’ selected by VARBusiness editors for their achievements in business leadership, innovation and channel influence, includes 25 executives at solution providers, 20 vendors and five distributors. McDermott was recognized for her leadership and excellence in management at Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas.

’Anna has been instrumental in the continuing success of Avnet’s partners,’ said Fred Cuen, president, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas. ’Her leadership and expertise in fostering long-term business partnerships make her one of the foremost executives in the channel.’

During 2006, McDermott led the process of packaging and selling Access Distribution to Avnet. Throughout the sale, acquisition and integration process, she focused on continuing to drive success for Avnet’s Sun partners. Moving forward, she will be tasked with continuing to drive growth for Avnet’s channel partners by creating new business and solution opportunities for the expanded enterprise distribution business.
