ITT to Participate in Founders Business Seminar during World Water Week in Sweden

White Plains, N.Y.- ITT Corporation today announced its participation in the Founders Business seminar to be held on August 15 during World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden. ITT, along with the Stockholm International Water Institute, Stockholm Water Foundation, UNEP Finance Initiative, World Business Council for Sustainable Development and Siemens organized the seminar to address the role of financial institutions and business in safeguarding the world’s water resources.

As part of the seminar, Per-Inge Birgersson, president of ITT’s water & wastewater business, will participate on a panel of business leaders to discuss the link between water and business, including ways to provide sustainable water usage and the water risks businesses face. Additional speakers include Mark Garrett, CEO-designate of Borealis; Claus Conzelmann, vice president of safety, health & environment for Nestle; and Daniel Solberg, chairman of the Water Management Network for Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget. ITT participates each year in World Water Week activities and is the global sponsor of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize, the most prestigious international student competition for water-related research, which is presented during the week.
