Rapid SMSC roll-out and support delights leading US rural carrier

DUBLIN, 30th July 2007 – Jinny Software, a leading supplier of personalised messaging and media processing platforms to wireless carriers, today announced the successful completion of its project with US rural wireless carrier, Viaero Wireless, Fort Morgan, Colorado, to implement a Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) in its network. As a result of the success, Viaero has now agreed to become an early adopter for future releases of Jinny’s SMSC software, reflecting their desire to further strengthen their relationship with Jinny Software and their confidence in Jinny’s ability and experience in the messaging market.

The system delivered includes a range of VAS services, such as E-mail to SMS, Push/Pull (content) and Web2SMS, as well as providing a solution to existing Mobile Number Portability issues.

Viaero Wireless originally contacted Jinny Software with a speculative query and initial discussions began in October 2006. This resulted in the agreement to conduct a trial of Jinny’s SMSC during the same period. The SMSC was installed, integrated and configured remotely in approximately four weeks to enable Viaero to perform their own testing of the system.

Viaero has now expressed complete satisfaction with the Jinny SMSC, now deployed inside the network, which has been handling live traffic since May 2007, and its experience of the company’s remote pre-sales support during this whole period. During contract negotiations, the two companies agreed that Viaero would have complete flexibility regarding how it sourced hardware required to support the implementation. In return, and based on its positive trial experiences, Viaero agreed to become an early adopter for future releases of Jinny’s SMSC software.

Viaero is delighted with the work completed by Jinny Software in all areas - on-site work during implementation, customisation support and post cut-over support. Commenting on the project, Dan Meininger, Network Operations Manager, Viaero Wireless said, “The Jinny SMSC is a very solid platform and they have been a joy to work with.” The carrier’s Founder and CEO, Frank DiRico further applauded the partnership, saying, “Working with Jinny Software has been a breath of fresh air.”

“Jinny is extremely pleased and proud of the job conducted with Viaero Wireless and the customer’s generous feedback. We are especially appreciative of Viaero Wireless’s willingness to actively promote our company and its products and services within the rural cellular community in North America. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship,” concluded Fintan Supple, Regional Sales Director, Americas, Jinny Software.
