BASF to raise prices for colorants and additives

Effective immediately, BASF will increase prices of colorants and additives globally between 5 and 20 percent, depending on the product line, as existing contracts allow. Reasons are increased energy, raw material and transportation costs.

Affected products are: organic, inorganic and effect pigments, pigment preparations, specialty films, dyes, thickeners and light stabilizers. These products are primarily used in the coatings, plastics and specialties industries.
