Pratt & Whitney Canada Dependable PT6 Chosen to Power Lancair Evolution Aircraft

EAA AIRVENTURE, Oshkosh, Wis.- Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PT6 turboprop engine today was selected to power Lancair International Inc.’s all-new four-place Evolution aircraft. Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a United Technologies (NYSE: UTX) company.

Lancair, designer and manufacturer of high-performance piston and turbine kit aircraft, will provide a PT6-135A engine as part of its “fast-build kit” for its new experimental Evolution.
