PROVO, UT – July 25, 2007 – The RBL Group, a leading provider of human resource development programs and research is now offering a forum dedicated to increasing strategic HR competencies and capabilities. The goal of the Institute is to advance HR practice through participative education, joint research, and networking among senior HR executives.

Designed to assist HR executives in strategy development on emerging business trends, the Institute offers relevant and practical contributions to member organizations. Learning events bring in a mix of best practice sharing and shared learning experiences between members and some of the most respected practitioners and thinkers in strategic HR.

Events include a semi-annual two-day executive forum for Chief HR Officers and tri-annual two-day sessions for up to three senior-level representatives. Events are comfortably sized to allow for networking and sharing of best practices among participants. In addition, The RBL Institute sponsors webcasts addressing trends and issues in strategic HR that anyone in a member organization can participate in.

The Institute’s research activities incorporate the same kinds of innovative, leading-edge thinking and practical applications introduced by thought leaders including Dave Ulrich, Norm Smallwood, Wayne Brockbank, Jon Younger, and The RBL Group’s extended network of HR thought leaders. The Institute also sponsors cooperative research in collaboration with member companies on topics of particular interest.

The current membership of The RBL Institute includes leading organizations headquartered in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The Institute is selectively adding additional members to expand the range of industries represented, ultimately creating a strong mix of domestic, international, and global companies. Member participation is essential and there are a variety of opportunities to get involved in shaping Institute activities and additional offerings to be responsive to current and emerging needs.

“The Institute is particularly focused on adding HR leaders who represent their company’s determination to deliver creative, innovative, and practice-leading HR solutions in support of the profitable growth of their organizations,” said Dave Ulrich, partner and founder of The RBL Group, and a professor of business at the Ross School of Business.

The membership fee is $35,000 for 12 months and includes participation for all the activities the Institute offers. Member companies also receive a 20 percent discount on all of The RBL Group’s educational offerings, including the flagship HR Learning partnership, an RBL Group sponsored consortium where companies send five HR executives to an intensive two-week learning experience with executives from other companies.

The RBL Group specializes in helping clients deliver a strategic HR agenda.
