Velocity7 Wins WebAward for 52Weekends.com

The Web Marketing Association’s national WebAwards announced Airstream’s 52weekends website is the recipient of an award of merit. The Nevada City, California firm Velocity7 was recognized for this travel-oriented website.

The Web Marketing Association is the producer of the WebAward Competition. Now in its 9th year, the WebAwards is the premier annual award competition that judges website development against an ever increasing Internet standard and peer sites within their industry.

Velocity7 Art Director Rich Good describes 52weekends,“The 52 Weekends website was a unique and very enjoyable project for us because its requirements were not as cut and dried as a standard product website. We not only wanted to showcase a fantastic product but also to welcome people to the lifestyle that goes with it. For people to understand this touring coach you have to make them realize what they are missing; getting away from it all and being spontaneous - not exactly simple from the confines of a website on a computer monitor. We endeavored to make a website that conjured up some of the magic of heading out on the road, and I think we got it. There is a sensation of constant change and exploration as you navigate the site; always something new to see, beautiful photography, something hidden, something that you only glimpse for a second.”

The 52 Weekends site is another example of the cohesive, integrated solutions Velocity7 provides for Airstream and their growing online community. Velocity7 also designed www.airstream.com, which serves as a hub for product information, news and communications.
