Celent Names SunGard a Leading Provider in Two Categories in the Property/Casualty Edition of its Insurance Software Deal Trends Report

SunGard (http://www.sungard.com) today announced that it has been named a leading provider in the General Ledger/Other Core Financial systems and the Investment Portfolio/Asset Management systems categories by research and advisory firm, Celent, LLC, in the latest Property/Casualty edition of its Insurance Software Deal Trends report. The ranking is based on the number of deals SunGard signed in 2005 and 2006.

The report analyzes a total of 1,405 software deals signed between January 1, 2005, and December 31, 2006. Approximately 55% of the deals were with property/casualty carriers with the remaining deals belonging to life/health. In the data set used for the property/casualty report, Celent included 620 disclosed deals from 94 vendors. Celent believes that although the data set presented in the report is by no means comprehensive, it is more complete than any other source in the industry.
