Villabate was named after the Sicilian town that was home to this talented family who has owned and operated the shop since 1980.

Manny Alaimo, dedicated to producing the finest edible creations, hails from a family of bakers that Vincent Schiavelli of Gourmet Magazine claims has “brought Palermo (Sicily) to Brooklyn”.

Working 12 hours daily, our artisans and bakers strive to bring joy in the form of desserts, blending only the best ingredients into works of art. Bread is baked hourly as loaves of semolina are lined up and readied for the ovens. Pastries and cookies are feasts for the eyes, while our cakes are banquets.
