Hans-Christian Schwingen takes over Brand Strategy and Marketing Communication unit for the Group

Deutsche Telekom has appointed Audi manager Hans-Christian Schwingen to head the new “Brand Strategy and Marketing Communication” unit. From October 2007, Schwingen will be responsible for the development of marketing communication concepts, as well as for brand strategy, brand management and marketing campaigns. As Chairman of the Marketing Board, he will further harmonize the management of Deutsche Telekom’s individual brands for the customer and he will report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Management, Réne Obermann.



Hans-Christian Schwingen, 41, has been Head of Marketing Communication at Audi AG in Ingolstadt since 1999, where he is responsible for the worldwide communicative presentation of the Audi brand in the four areas of traditional advertising, customer and retail marketing, trade fairs and events, and sponsoring and product placement. He had the task of developing Audi’s profile to further its image worldwide as the most progressive premium vehicle manufacturer. Schwingen had previously worked for Springer & Jacoby from 1990 to 1999, lastly as a unit managing director.
