After more than 2,700 games the 2006-2007 World League season comes to an end Tuesday July 3, 2007. Three teams are at the top of the World League standings: The Sapporo Sudoku, The San Juan Huesos Rojos and the Manila Monsoon. Valparaiso and Manchester also remain within striking distance. The World League consists of sixty teams on six continents. Teams in the United States include: The Los Angeles Haze, San Francisco Aftershock, Seattle Hard Drive, Las Vegas Twilight, Chicago Towers, Detroit Velocity, Washington Shock&Awe, New York Anchormen, Atlantic City Cash and Boston Nor’Easters. The league has a rich and colorful history, as does the World League Championship trophy.
