Scottrade continues growth with second Baltimore branch office

Branch office to provide customer service, support to online investors

St. Louis, – Scottrade, a leading branch-supported online investment firm, is opening a new branch office in Baltimore, Md. The branch, located at 1425 Reisterstown Road in the Centre Court Shopping Center, opens on Monday, July 2.

Jason Berman, who was formerly the assistant manager at Scottrade’s nearby Towson branch office, will manage the new Baltimore office.

“Scottrade’s new branch office is in a high-traffic location and will be more convenient for many of our customers who are currently served through our Towson office,” Berman said. “With our growth in the Baltimore area, a second branch office will help us better serve our customers. We are looking forward to growing our new branch office and assisting investors with questions they may have about opening an account or placing a trade.”

Scottrade is an online investment firm that provides individual investors the tools and research to make their own investment decisions. Scottrade does not offer investment advice, but brokers are available at branch offices to answer account-related questions, provide customer service and offer tutorials on Scottrade’s trading services.

“We feel it is important to have branch offices where our customers work and live,” said Rodger Riney, Scottrade president and CEO. “While most of our customers trade online, they value the option of having a local branch office where they can get personal customer service.”

The Baltimore branch office will be Scottrade’s 302nd location nationwide. Other Maryland branch offices are located in Towson, Columbia, Annapolis, Rockville and Gaithersburg.

Scottrade’s Baltimore branch office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached at (410) 415-5220.
