DuPont Wildlife Habitat Team Cleans Wilmington Site

WEBWIRE

The DuPont Chestnut Run Plaza/Barley Mill Plaza (CRP/BMP) Wildlife Habitat Team recently sponsored a site cleanup. Over a dozen volunteers picked up trash, primarily around creeks and wooded areas on or near the Wilmington, Del., site.
The volunteers removed four car tires, three shopping carts and several dozen bags of trash, as well as a number of other large pieces of debris.

The CRP/BMP site is one of several DuPont Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC)-certified sites around the world. “WHC certification demonstrates our commitment to environmental stewardship and increasing native biodiversity,” said Sheryl Zenel of the DuPont Wildlife Habitat Team. “For over 10 years, our dedicated volunteers have conducted activities such as building and monitoring nest boxes, planting food and plants for wildlife, documenting site plant and animal species inventories to maintain our certification.”
