Crestron Introduces Multimedia Presentation Systems

WEBWIRE

The MPS Series, the culmination of three years of technology innovation and product development, will be on display at InfoComm booth #5700. The four MPS models are complete multimedia presentation systems in a stand-alone box. Crestron integrated a 2-Series Ethernet control system, multimedia switcher, audio amplifier, balanced audio with professional DSP, mic inputs, discrete touchpanel preview out and full QuickMedia signal routing and processing. Complete out-of-the-box functionality with front panel control, plug-and-play connectivity with Crestron interfaces, and links to RoomView® remote management software, MPS systems deliver the most robust, cost-effective presentation solution.

MPS systems are stand-alone solutions with out-of-the-box functionality. Simply connect source components and display devices for a complete, fully functional presentation solution. MPS does not need a separate control system; there is no need to load a program; and no laptops or touchpanel are required; just walk up and control the system right from the front panel.

For added functionality MPS systems offers seamless plug-and-play connectivity with Crestron 3-channel amps, touchpanels, keypads, handheld remotes, iLux lighting control and our new APAD room controller.

Media Processing Systems include the MPS-100, 200, 300 and 400. From the smallest 5x2 to the 11x7, all MPS models feature QuickMedia routing and processing, seamless system expansion, network connectivity and RoomView remote management capabilities. Perfect for classrooms, boardrooms, VTC rooms, auditoriums or any room with multiple sources. The MPS is ideal for a wide-range of rooms, from a small training room to a sophisticated room with several sources, devices, input locations and display devices.

Even the smallest model, the MPS-100, features a discrete touchpanel preview output, a Crestron Ethernet control system and QuickMedia capabilities built-in. QuickMedia (QM) is Crestron’s exclusive technology that transmits all audio, video, computer, power and data on a single cable, significantly reducing cable costs and installation time. The QM output can handle component and high-definition video, and high-resolution computer signals. Now, these high-quality signals can be transmitted in their native resolution without any scaling.

All audio inputs and outputs are balanced stereo, with discrete program, record and speech outputs available. Full 12-band parametric equalization and delay and adjustable input compensation are built into most models, eliminating the need for several external components to accomplish the same tasks.

Setting up the system and connecting to the network is quick and easy using the simple MediaManager Wizard. The software allows you to quickly label sources and displays, select projectors and screens for control and link to RoomView software. MPS system switchers provides plug-and-play support for Crestron 3-channel amplifiers, keypads, touchpanels, handheld remotes and iLux™ lighting and shade control.

The front panel controls are designed for direct system control for volume and input/output selection. The LCD display and continuous turn control knob make system set up and diagnostics easy and intuitive. While the MPS Series offers out-of-the-box-functionality and intuitive, fully-functional front panel control, all MPS system switchers have the power and flexibility of the vast Crestron database of drivers and modules backing them for fully customized, facility-wide control and automation.
