Oracle® Database 10g Release 2 Sets the World’s First TPC-H 30 TB Benchmark with HP Integrity Superdome Server

Groundbreaking 30TB Result Showcases Oracle’s Superior Data Warehousing Capabilities.

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.-Oracle today announced the world’s first TPC-H 30 Terabyte (TB) benchmark, the largest TPC-H benchmark conducted to date.(1) This accomplishment builds on Oracle’s history of world record performance leadership for data warehousing, adding to its long list of TPC-H 300GB,(2) clustered TPC-H One TB,(3) TPC-H Three TB(4) and non-clustered TPC-H 10 TB(5) world records.

Running on a single HP Integrity Superdome Server with 64 Dual-Core Intel Itanium 2 1.6 GHz processors, HP-UX 11i v3 operating system and HP StorageWorks arrays, Oracle® Database 10g Release 2 achieved an impressive milestone result of 150,960.5QphH@30000GB with a price-performance ratio of $ 46.49/QphH@30000GB. As the first 30 TB result, this benchmark signifies Oracle’s commitment to continued leadership by raising the industry standard bar for large-scale data warehousing performance.
