Clear Channel Radio’s KFI Honored with NAB Service to America Award

Washington, D. C. – Clear Channel radio station KFI in Los Angeles was presented with the “Friend in Need” Service to America Award by the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation in Washington, D. C. last night. KFI was recognized for outstanding around-the-clock local news coverage for the Esperanza fire, one of the worst fires in Southern California history, as well as for raising funds that went to families of firefighters killed fighting the fire. Neil Saavedra, Marketing Director for KFI Los Angeles was on hand to accept the award.
