Cybertrust®, the global information security specialist, today announced its Vulnerability Management Solution, a systematic, enterprise-wide offering that helps customers proactively identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and facilitate regulatory compliance, has been standardized across all of its offerings. This provides Cybertrust customers with the ability to more effectively manage network risk by cost effectively identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities on their networks, and then efficiently tracking remediation efforts via advanced searching and reporting functionality.

Cybertrust’s vulnerability management solutions are based on nCircle IP360™, the industry- leading scanning and vulnerability management solution from nCircle, the leading provider of agentless security risk and compliance management solutions, offering unparalleled flexibility to suit an organization’s needs.

“Vulnerability management is a core component of any network security program,” said Kerry Bailey, Cybertrust senior vice president of global services. “The Cybertrust Vulnerability Management Solution will serve as the cornerstone for our customers’ security programs, enabling them to more effectively and proactively reduce business risk and comply with regulatory policies.”

“Customers are the true winners in this partnership,” said Abe Kleinfeld, president and CEO of nCircle. “They gain the best of both worlds, without compromise – Cybertrust’s deep, global expertise and nCircle’s market-leading technology.”

With the standardized Vulnerability Management solution, Cybertrust Managed Security Services (MSS) customers benefit from greatly improved and automated asset information, which is a key part of Cybertrust’s latest MSS release. Additionally, customers have the ability to run their own scans and perform analysis on the results. Security Management Program (SMP) customers benefit from enhanced external and internal risk assessments that Cybertrust performs to assess potential risks. Customers now also have the ability to run and analyze their own scan reports delivered via a user-friendly Web interface that features advanced reporting tools. Online Compliance Program (OCP) for the Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Partner Security Program (PSP) customers are able to run required vulnerability scans on demand and more easily evaluate and measure business units and partners to see how they align with specific regulations.

The Cybertrust Vulnerability Management Solution is available in three offerings, each designed to suit customers’ varying business needs. Customers can choose an in-sourced model where they host and perform their own scans; a co-managed solution where Cybertrust hosts and manages the underlying infrastructure while the customer reads and interprets all the vulnerability scans; or an outsourced, Cybertrust-hosted and -operated solution. In the last model, Cybertrust engineers perform the scans, analyze the results and provide guidance around remediation for customers. This in-source, co-source, outsource model is unique to Cybertrust and offers customers unmatched flexibility.
