Veteran Doctor of Chiropractic Closing Practice after Finding the True Cause of Neck and Back Pain

College Station, Texas - After 12 years of clinical practice, Dr. Dan Bettiol has confirmed what he suspected over a decade ago - most Chiropractic/Orthopedic/Physical Therapy patients can avoid wasting their time, money and effort chasing “professionals” in favor of a simple, inexpensive, at-home remedy.

Dr. Daniel Bettiol announced today that he is closing his clinical practice as of September 30th, 2007. After 12 years in practice, Dr. Bettiol has come to the conclusion that adequate water hydration (not Chiropractic treatment) is what is primarily needed by the 80% of Americans who complain of Headache, Neck & Back pain.

“By the end of my second year in practice, I noticed clinically that the patients with the most HNB (Headache, Neck, Back) pain were the ones who either hated the taste of water or consumed the most dehydrating stimulants (coffee, teas, sodas, alcohol),” says Bettiol. “For those patients who followed my simple recommendations on basic hydration, the alleviation of pain was usually rapid and prolonged, while those who didn’t comply continued under Chiropractic care indefinitely.”

Dr. Bettiol initially learned of the link between HNB pain and hydration while attending New York Chiropractic College from 1991-95. His Clinical Nutrition instructor, Dr. Andrew Saul, recommended the book, Your Body’s many cries for Water by the late Dr. Fereydoon Batmanghelidj.
“Dr. Batmanghelidj pioneered the research which fully documented the short and long-term effects of Chronic Cellular Dehydration upon the human body,” Dr. Bettiol says. “Headache, Neck & Back pain were among the minor conditions from a list that included Diabetes, Heart Disease and Cancer.”

Dr. Bettiol is determined to continue the work of Dr. Batmanghelidj, who passed away in 2004. “Dr. Batmanghelidj told his patients to drink water, but he never specified which type of water was ideal for health and healing,” says Bettiol. “Yes folks, your choice of water is either healing you or harming you. My mission is to expose the facts on water healing and let the public decide what‘s best for them.”
