Boeing to Spotlight Advanced Range of Products, Services at Le Bourget 2007

The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] will highlight its full range of products and services that are producing record sales across commercial and defense markets at this year’s Paris Air Show, beginning June 18 at Le Bourget airfield, north of the city.

“Boeing goes to Le Bourget with continued momentum and clear strategies in both our healthy defense systems and growing commercial airplane businesses,” said Tom Downey, senior vice president, Communications. "Our backlog is at record levels, our financial performance is solid, and we are intensely focused on delivering on our promises to customers.

“Boeing people from across the company will be at the show to talk about our overall progress and underscore our continuing commitment to our customers, partners and suppliers,” he added.

Boeing’s defense showcase will feature a daily flying demonstration by the world’s most advanced, combat-proven strike fighter -- the F/A-18F Super Hornet. The company and its customers will also display the C-17 Globemaster III military transport, F-15E Eagle fighter jet, Harpoon missile, and the AH-64D Apache Longbow and CH-47 Chinook helicopters.

On the commercial side, Jet Airways, India’s largest private airline, will display its recently delivered 777-300ER in new livery. The airplane is one of 10 777s that Jet Airways has ordered.

The Boeing schedule (follows in detail on next page) begins on Monday, June 18 with a press conference at 0945 hosted by Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Scott Carson. On the same day at 1100, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems President and CEO Jim Albaugh and the leaders of the IDS businesses will discuss current business trends and opportunities. On Tuesday, June 19, the vice president and general manager of the 787 Dreamliner program, Mike Bair, will hold a press conference at 1245.

Boeing will hold a series of briefings on key programs and issues throughout the show. Each day, media should check the briefing schedule at the company’s media chalet, situated in Chalet Row A, for updates.
