ZTE to launch new generation multi-service transmission platform at OPTINET China 2007
ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, is to launch its brand new optical network transmission architecture - IP over WDM at OPTINET China 2007, which is due be held June 13-14, 2007 at Presidential Plaza Hotel, Beijing. The Conference will bring together specialists and representatives from mainstream vendors like ZTE, Nortel, Nokia and Siemens, and major operators including China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Netcom to explore the global optical network development.
ZTE’s IP over WDM, featuring great reliability, efficiency and flexibility, is based on series of cutting-edge technologies including optical path shared protection ring, ROADM, intelligent EDFA, adaptive dispersion compensation, automatic optical power control and dynamic optical channel gain equalization. It can completely solve subscribers’ ever-increasing requirements for carrier-class bulk transmission.
“As data and voice services are being delivered through IP, IP network is required not only to carry growing data and voice services but also be the bearer network for 3G, NGN, IPTV and VIP VPN,” noted Mr. Zhang Ting, director of optical network product, ZTE Corporation. “Therefore, new generation IP bearer network should satisfy more than the ever-increasing demand for broadband. It should feature carrier-class reliability and security, and maximize optic fiber resource utilization while giving consideration to the operator’s CAPEX and OPEX as well.”
“ZTE’s IP over WDM supports all-service access and SDH or data low-speed service convergence functions, enables efficient bearing of multi-service convergence and access, and is the ideal solution for building new generation IP bearer network.”
ZTE’s IP over WDM solution has been deployed in their networks by AR Telecom (Portugal), Wharf T&T (Hongkong), China Telecom and China Mobile.
To date, ZTE optical transmission products have gained access to over 180 operators in more than 80 countries and regions including Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa and Middle East.
