Agilent Technologies Introduces Low-Cost Service and Repair Test System with CDMA2000 Option
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today introduced its enhanced Agilent GS-8210 Wireless Handset Test System, now with a CDMA2000 option in addition to its GSM and WCDMA compatibility. The test system is designed for the low-cost mobile phone service and repair market.
The Agilent GS-8210 with the CDMA2000 option supports test cases that are designed to the requirements defined by the CDMA Development Group for CDMA2000.
Based on research statistics from the CDMA Development Group in the last quarter of 2006, there were an estimated 270 million subscribers to CDMA2000 services. This figure is also on the rise as more service operators globally are looking to upgrade their existing telecommunications infrastructure to support CDMA2000 services.
