EPA awards over $50,000 to the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas to support Asthma Management Program
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently awarded $58,400 to Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. The funds will be used to support the hospital’s six month Asthma Management Program (AMP). AMP is an outpatient care and case management program serving high-risk asthma patients and their families. Through educational workshops, home visits, environmental assessments and biweekly telephone conferences, AMP staff will identify environmental asthma triggers and educate families on ways to reduce them.
