Clearswift boosts internal email security with new version of MIMEsweeper for Domino

Clearswift is today launching a new version of its internal email solution, MIMEsweeper for Domino 8.1, aimed at providing improved support for organisations looking to provide email data leakage protection and tackle regulatory compliance issues.

MIMEsweeper for Domino already helps business to achieve regulatory compliance by providing full audit email trails, disclaimer management, archiving, alerts and notifications. The new version includes the capacity for organisations to add their own dictionaries to meet specific regulatory needs.

MIMEsweeper for Domino also supports Clearswift’s aim to ease the burden on email administrators by enabling policies to be replicated across multiple clustered servers to meet the security needs of larger organisations.

MIMEsweeper for Domino 8.1 offers a number of other new features including:

Weighted text analysis – words and regular expressions can be allocated a weighting and limits can be set for emails to ensure that unacceptable content is either blocked or triggers a response

File extension monitoring – if a file extension has been changed in attempt to fool the system MIMEsweeper for Domino will recognise this and block or quarantine the email as appropriate

Export of data - all data can be exported to your preferred reporting tool including Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, Hyperion and many others

Support for Kaspersky anti-virus has been added joining Norman, Sophos, Symantec, F-Secure and Authentium

Legal disclaimers – the ability to add a second disclaimer to the bottom of all emails allows business units and departments to have a specific disclaimer as required

Pre-loaded policies – User policies provide out of the box protection from the moment the installation is complete
