The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® will move its headquarters to a new location in Arlington on June 4, 2007. Inspired by the need for more space to provide for growth of the association, and to better reflect its culture and work style, CEA purchased and refurbished the building at 1919 S. Eads Street in the Crystal City section of Arlington, VA. The new CEA building is located in the heart of the rapidly expanding Crystal City business corridor and is close to Washington, DC and Washington Reagan National Airport.

“This is more than a new home for CEA. The building reflects CEA’s growth, the industry’s excitement and our optimism about the future,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA.

All CEA staff members will move to the new building but their phone numbers and fax numbers will remain the same. To facilitate the move, CEA operations will shut down at 4 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, May 31. The CEA (www.CE.org) and CES (www.CESweb.org ) websites will be unavailable at this time as will all computer, e-mail and voicemail systems. The main telephone line, (866) 858-1555, will be manned and messages will be taken for staff as needed. Systems will be restored and operations will resume by 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5.
