Members of the media are invited to attend the REALTORS(r) Conference & Expo, Oct. 28 - 31, in San Francisco, Calif.

More than 25,000 Realtors? and their guests are expected to attend the REALTORS(r) Conference & Expo, titled The Rush Is On.

The National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) will hold its principal annual session in San Francisco in conjunction with NAR’s annual conference.

Heading the list of speakers during the conference is Dr. Phil McGraw, author of five bestsellers, including Life Strategies. The Entrepreneurial Excellence Series again will feature some of the business world’s best and brightest minds, including Malcolm Gladwell, author of The Tipping Point and Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking; management expert Ken Blanchard, author of The One Minute Manager; and Silicon Valley management legend and Apple pioneer Guy Kawasaki, author of Rules for Revolutionaries.

This year, Realtors(r) will continue their tradition of helping one family in the Conference city area to realize the American Dream through our partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Realtors(r) are committed to addressing the need for affordable housing in communities across U.S. and around the world.

Members of the media are invited to check out the Expo. The Expo will be open Friday, Oct. 28, 5 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 29, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 30, 10a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Monday, Oct. 31, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The conference will also provide media with the opportunity to get the latest information on home buying and selling trends, and environmental issues. Industry experts, congressional officials and federal agency representatives will also be on hand to share their insights into the issues facing today’s residential and commercial real estate markets.

On-site media registration will begin Wednesday, Oct. 26, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and continue through Sunday, Oct. 30, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Monday, Oct. 31, 8 a.m. to Noon, at the Moscone Center, Room 232, North Building. There is no registration fee for members of the media with credentials. Members of NAR, its affiliates, and NAREE Associates must pay the applicable NAR registration fees.

NAR’s Public Affairs staff has planned several media briefings throughout the meetings to provide reporters and editors an opportunity to meet with industry specialists. Public Affairs staff will also be available to assist the media in coordinating interviews with NAR Leadership and conference speakers. The preliminary Media Highlights schedule is as follows:
