Advisory: Thursday, August 18 - Albuquerque Motorists Urged to ’Be Tire Smart’; Don’t Let the Heat Beat Your Tires

News Advisory:

WHAT: Free tire pressure clinic to promote proper tire care. Motorists can get their tire pressure and tire tread depth checked, learn how to do these quick, easy and essential maintenance tasks and get a free tire gauge, too.

Did you know that heat is your tires’ No. 1 enemy? Research reveals that 85 percent of drivers don’t properly check tire pressure. Millions of vehicles have at least one tire that is significantly under inflated. To counter these alarming facts, the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) and Big O Tires are working together to educate Albuquerque drivers about proper tire care.
