"Loren Cass" Film to Premiere at CineVegas

“Loren Cass”, the world’s most dangerous film...will be making it’s official US Premiere in competition at the World’s Most Dangerous Film Festival, Dennis Hopper’s CineVegas 2007.

“Loren Cass” is a gritty tale of adolescence set against the backdrop of the 1996 Saint Petersburg, Florida rebellions, and was directed by first-time filmmaker Chris Fuller at the age of 21.

With all the excitement that visitors expect from Sin City, the ninth annual CineVegas Film Festival returns to the Palms Casino Resort and the Brenden Theatres from June 6-16, it was announced today by Trevor Groth, Artistic Director. This year’s festival, which opens with Steven Soderbergh’s latest tango with the incomparable city of Las Vegas, “Ocean’s Thirteen”, offers a breadth of world and U.S. premieres, advance screenings of high-profile films, the best new independent films seeking distribution, and a Mexican cinema sidebar continuing the festival’s tradition of discovering emerging talent and taking chances in showcasing challenging but innovative work.

Chris Fuller’s “Loren Cass” will be screening twice on opening weekend in the Jackpot Premieres section, reserved for highly-regarded independent films currently without distribution deals. The film will also be eligible for the $10,000 Grand Jury Prize, which is awarded to the best film in this section. All showings are open to the public and the filmmakers will be in attendance, but get your tickets early as they’re expected to go fast. Also attending the premiere will be: actress Kayla Tabish, actor Jacob Reynolds, Ultimate Fighter Din Thomas, Blag Dahlia of The Dwarves and director of photography William Garcia.

The “Loren Cass” filmmakers have also signed with Sales Agent Glen Reynolds who will be representing the film for international distribution at CineVegas.
