Fox 5 New York TV Anchor Ernie Anastos Reads From His New Children’s Book Ernie And The Big Newz On Saturday, June 2 At Macy’s Herald Square!

A portion of the proceeds from Ernie and the Big Newz sales will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

New York, NY – Children and parents alike are invited to Macy’s Herald Square on Saturday, June 2 at 11:30am on 7 for a fun-filled day with music and entertainment TBD and a special reading of Ernie and the Big Newz by Ernie Anastos himself! People of all ages are encouraged to come meet Ernie and have him autograph a copy of his new book, all while supporting a fantastic cause!

Ernie and the Big Newz is the first in a series of children’s books written by Emmy-award winning, FOX 5 news anchor, Ernie Anastos, and features illustrations by New York Daily News illustrator, Bill Gallo. All the stories in this series are based on experiences from Ernie’s career of more than 25 years as a TV reporter. He portrays the series to be “fun, breezy and inspirational for young readers.” The first book is a story about Ernie, a young boy who discovers his dream of becoming a TV reporter and his first big project is to cover the one-and-only Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! The series will follow Ernie through more exciting adventures and obstacles as he covers big stories in the Big Apple!

Ernie is blissfully dedicating this book to every child who has a dream, with a portion of proceeds from its sale benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation. In his own words, he describes the book as “good text and good pictures for a good cause.”
